Chinesecivilization(文化)hasalonghistory.AncientChinesepoetryisoneoftheimmortal(不朽)chapters.Experiencedthebaptism(洗礼)andsedimentation(沉淀)offivethousandyears,Chinesepoetryhasbeenthepeak(尖端)oftheworld.Chinaisapoetryofthecountry,anditiswellknownwithitsartisticconception(意境）andrichphilosophy(哲理).Becauseofthis,itleftdeeplyfootprintinhistory.Ithinkthatthespiritofapoemisitsrealm．Therearethreerealmsforpoetry:therealmofphysicalworld(物境),therealmoffeelings(情境),therealmidea(意境).Inpoetry,thepoetsoftenplacedtheirfeelingsandwishesinthedescriptionofobjectivethings,makingthingsseemtohaveanaturalhumanemotion,creatingasituationwithsceneryandemotions.SoinancientChinesepoetry,everythinghasafeeling.“Intranslatingapoem,thereproductionofthebeautyofmeaningalwayscomefirst”（译诗时，传达原诗意美是最重要的）——许渊冲OnlywhenareadercanappreciatethemeaningoftheancientChinesepoetry,canheenjoythebeautyofthem.ButbecauseoftheculturaldifferencesbetweenChineseandforeign,whenwetranslate,itisdifficulttofindanequivalentinwesternliteraturecriticismtheory.《静夜思》李白床前明月光，疑是地上霜。举头望明月，低头思故乡。TheMoonShinesEverywhereSeeingtheMoonbeforemycouchsobright,Ithoughthoarfrosthadfallenfromthenight.OnherclearfaceIgazewithliftedeyes:ThenhidethemfullofYouth'ssweetmemories.LongingintheNightBeforethebedshorethebrightmoonlightathand,Ifancyitwasfrostontheground.Iraisedmyheadtolookatthebrightmoon,andloweredmyheadtothinkofmynativeland.ThoughtsinaStillNightTheluminuousmoonshinebeforemybed,Isthougthtobethefrostfallenontheground.Ilifemyheadtogazeatthecliffmoon,Andthenbowdowntomuseonmydistanthome.Fromthesetranslations,wecanknowthatdifferenttranslatorsmayhavedifferentunderstandingofthesamepoemandadoptdifferentstrategies.Whetherthetranslatorshavedoneagoodjob,thecriterion(准则)isthetransferenceofthebeautyofideorealm(意境).ThereisaChinesesayingthatgoeslikethis：thepoetryandthepaintingarederived(源于)fromthesameroot．Sineclassicalpoetryisveryconcise(简洁的)，allthefeelingsofthepoetsaretobeconveyed(传达)bythevivid(生动的)andbeautifulimages.sothebeautyofpaintingisveryimportantforapoem.Imageryarecarrierofideorealmandcanbeeasilytakenasunitsoftranslation．Therelationshipbetweenthem，whichisintheforegroundandthebackgroundshouldbenoticed．Allimagesinapoemshouldbeseenasawhole．Thoughdifferenttranslatorsmayadoptdifferentmeasuresforthetransferenceofthesameimage，thepurposeshouldbethesame，thatis，thereproductionofideorealm.SincetheartisticideorealmofaclassicalChinesepoemliesinallrespectsofitsformingredients(组成部分)，howthetranslatormakesitsEnglishversioninperfectcombinationofcontentandformtorepresentaesthetically(美学观点上地)theartisticideorealmoftheoriginalpoembetterrequirestodomoreresearchinfuture.
